Management Methods

For Biennial Report purposes, sites must indicate how the waste that their site generated is treated, stored, or disposed (either on-site or off-site). This indication is referred to as the management method. These management methods may vary from reporting cycle to reporting cycle, therefore, have been categorized for consistency across reporting cycles. The Management Method Report provides the number of sites and the quantity of waste managed summarized using the management categories.

To produce the Management Method report, select a report cycle and a location (State, Region, or National). Additionally, specify the management of interest. If you specify "All Waste", the report will include wastes managed on-site that were generated either on-site or off-site. Wastes that are bulked/stored by a site, then shipped to another site for disposal are not included in this report.

If you specify "Waste Received From Off-site", the report will only include the management of waste that was received from an off-site source. Wastes that are bulked/stored by a site, then shipped to another site for disposal are included in this report.

If you specify "Waste Generated On-site", the report will only include the management of waste that was generated on-site by the manager. Wastes that are bulked/stored by a site, then shipped to another site for disposal are not included in this report. The total waste managed on-site + the total waste managed off-site may not equal the total waste managed because the total waste managed on-site will include waste that was bulked/stored by a site, then shipped to another site for disposal, whereas the total waste managed excludes waste that was bulked/stored by a site, then shipped to another site for disposal.

Once you specify the report cycle, management, location, and wastewater, click "Submit" to generate the report.
